Rates
Speech-language pathology services in British Columbia are not covered by the Medical Services Plan (MSP). However, many extended benefit plans provide some funding for a speech-language pathologist. Receipts are provided to clients, who are encouraged to submit them for any potential third-party reimbursement, if applicable. As well, speech-language therapy services can be claimed when you file your tax return.
Initial Telephone Consultation
A complimentary 15-minute telephone discussion that provides an opportunity to ensure that I am the right fit for you/your family. You’ll share some background information, have your initial questions answered, and collaborate on a plan for moving forward.

Speech Assessment
Assessment typically involves gathering a comprehensive case history (e.g., information about growth and development, speech concerns, history of ear infections, family history of speech or language difficulties, etc.), followed by assessments of the orofacial complex (i.e., the muscles of the face and mouth) and articulation (i.e., how speech sounds are produced using the tongue, teeth, lips, jaw, vocal cords, etc.). A verbal summary then provides an interpretation of results and provides a diagnosis and recommended treatment goals (if applicable). Price includes a written assessment summary.

Orofacial Myofunctional Assessment
Includes a comprehensive case history, assessment, and summary of results. The case history involves sharing background information regarding birth, development, health/ dental history, and discusses current conditions to allow a better understanding of what factors may be contributing to your concerns. The assessment includes an evaluation of speech sound production and the appearance / functioning of oral structures and the orofacial complex (i.e., the muscles of the jaw, lips, tongue, soft palate, larynx) - directly and via photo/video review. The verbal summary provides an interpretation of results and provides a diagnosis and recommended treatment goals (if applicable). Price includes a written assessment summary.
Fee: $500

Intervention
Individualized therapy for clients. This may include direct intervention, parent/family coaching, problem-solving consultations, professional collaborations, and ongoing provision of resources.
Fee: $170 per hour / $150 per 45-minutes / $110 per 30-minutes
Reports
Reports (e.g., assessment, progress, discharge, etc.) are available upon request. The cost will vary depending on the type of report requested.
Fee: Variable
Professional Development
A variety of professional development or training opportunities for other health professionals. Includes presentations, resources, and collaborations.
Available for individuals or groups.
Options for online or in-person.
